EIT KIC RawMatTers
The Department of Processing and Recycling, I.A.R. in short, won together with other core partners from the raw aterial research field the competition among the EIT Raw Materials. Now the I.A.R. has the chance to cooperate under the EIT umbrella with other high quality research institutes to boost the leadership of European knowledge and innovation. The EIT KIC Raw MatTERS brings together more than 100 partners from 20 different EU Memberstates, including RWTH Aachen University, TU Clausthal (DE), KU Leuven (B), University of Milano-Bococca (IT) and Delft University of Technology (NL).
The EIT will enable cooperation and partnership to make societal and innovative change possible in the field of raw material dependence. This will increase the European strategic position on raw material innovations. The goal for the EIT KIC Raw MAtTERS is to boost the competitiveness, growth and attractiveness of the European raw materials sector with the cooperation and partnership of leading research institutions and enterprises.
The approval of the EIT KIC Raw MatTERS can be seen as a milestone for future development of the European driving force of innovation and the RWTH Aachen’s prosperity in the field of raw material industry.
