It's great that you have decided to study at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Nothing stands in the way of your application for a place at RWTH Aachen!
The application for the materials science and materials engineering master's degree courses at RWTH Aachen is made in RWTHonline.
1. Registration in RWTH Online
- Go to the Registrierung link
- Enter your personal data and send it off
- Confirm your registration via the incoming email
- Set your password and complete the registration.

2. Submit application
- Open the "Applications" application in RWTH Online
- Go through the application wizard
- Upload all required documents
- Check your information carefully
- Submit your application

Important!: In the course selection area you can select either Bachelor or Master.
3. View application status
- Open the application action "Application in RWTH Online
- Get an overview of your previous applications and their status.
- Open the detail view for more information

4. Accept and enroll at the university
- Open the "Application" application in RWTH Online
- Navigate to the detail view.
- Complete missing information
- Accept the offered study place.
- Enroll at RWTH.

It is important to know that the Materials Science and Materials Engineering Master's degree is an admission-free Master's course and that you can start the Master's degree in both the winter and summer semesters.
