Course overview

Courses

The spectrum of our courses covers all facets of materials development. From technical development to scientific basics, the economic processes to be taken into account, to teaching technical relationships with the help of technology communication, we offer prospective students a large selection of diverse subject areas.

Materials science

The Materials Science course is offered in cooperation with three other faculties (Mathematics, Computer Science and Natural Sciences; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering and Information Technology) as a Bachelor's and Master's course. Instead of process development, the focus here is primarily on the development of new materials/functional materials and their new, tailor-made properties. Theoretical-scientific thinking and an interest in analytical methods are required.

Materials Engineering

The bachelor's degree in materials engineering forms the core of our range of courses. The materials engineer deals with all issues relating to the development, manufacture, processing and recycling of raw materials and materials. A close proximity to industry makes it easier to start your career later and you quickly get an idea of the requirements and knowledge that will be required in later professional life. Building on the Bachelor of Science, you can also do a Master's degree based on this.
