Looking back on a successful student uni 2023
The RWTH student university "Developing sustainable technologies for the future" 2023 took place from July 31 to August 4. The two divisioms Materials Science and Engineering (MuW) and Mineral Resources and Raw Materials Engineering (FRE) jointly organized the one-week program in cooperation with the Student Advice Center (ZSB) of the RWTH.
14 participants took part in this year's student university. Some came from Aachen and the region, others even came from France and Turkey for the events. After the welcome and getting to know each other on Monday morning, we went straight to the first FRE institutes. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the institutes of the MuW department gave the students an insight into the exciting content of materials engineering and materials science.
This year's excursion took us first to the Nivelsteiner Sandwerke and then to Saint Gobain. On the last day, the students got another insight into the RWTH, the studies in general, and also the courses materials science and materials engineering of the department. At the end there was a city and campus tour organized by the ZSB.
